How to use Finanse AI

Pick a step from the tabs. The same interface on phone and desktop — on wide screens the menu is on the left.

Create an account and sign in

Register with email and password (minimum 12 characters). After sign-in you land on the dashboard if onboarding is done — otherwise you see a short welcome screen.

  • Change theme and language in Settings.
  • The Go to landing page link is below the sign-in forms — it leads to the public landing.

Transactions and quick entry

In Transactions add income or expense with a form. On the dashboard the floating + opens a numpad modal: build expressions, use quick amounts, then save.

  • Receipt photo: in the modal — OCR reads text; when online AI suggests amount and category; always review before saving.
  • Recurring: from the same page create rules for automatic entries (weekly/monthly, etc.).

Dashboard and charts

Home shows KPIs (income, expenses, balance), monthly and approximate weekly budget progress, plus charts by category and month.

  • Subscription/recurring reminders are confirmed with one button — a transaction is created and the next date is updated.

Budgets and accounts

In Budgets set a monthly limit per category name — it should match expense categories. Accounts hold separate balances; movements are separate entries.

  • Without budgets, dashboard progress bars prompt you to add limits.

Goals, debts, subscriptions

Goals and Debts track saving and repayment. Subscriptions store recurring payments and remind you on the dashboard when to log an expense.

  • Reports — summary by category and month; useful before export.

Security and data

In Security enable MFA (TOTP) with an app like Google Authenticator. Password is still required; if you lose your phone, disable MFA only from a signed-in profile.

  • Export: Settings → Download CSV (list of all transactions).
  • No bank connection — data is what you enter.

After sign-in you will see links to Security and sign out.

Quick onboarding

The system welcome screen appears once for new profiles — you can open it again from app logic if enabled.
